Public Citizen consumer group releases Delaware questionable doctors database.
Consumer advocacy group Public Citizen has released new information regarding 45 “questionable doctors” in Delaware. The doctors have been disciplined by the state board for incompetence, sexual misconduct, criminal convictions, and other offenses. When the Delaware Board of Medical Practice does take action against a doctor they are normally still allowed to practice. There were just 40 disciplinary actions taken against Delaware doctors in the past 10 years and just 16 of them required that the doctor stop practicing. The lowest number of disciplinary actions, Delaware has remained at the country’s bottom over the past 10 years. Consumers are now able to access information on the doctors included on Public Citizen’s “Questionable Doctors” list.
