Doctors Keep Licenses Despite Lawsuits

Despite the lawsuits, deaths, sexual allegations and other doctor negligence many seemingly unqualified doctors are still keeping their licenses and being allowed to practice, claim recent reports.

One doctor in particular, Neurosurgeon Lawrence J. Frazin, has supposedly been responsible for several botched surgeries, and previous patients fear that he will claim more victims if his license isn’t taken away.

Back Surgery Gone Wrong

Patricia Degnan, 39, went to Dr. Frazin after experiencing severe back pains.
Frazin allegedly ruptured a vein during surgery and Degnan died days later due to the surgical error.

Much to the Degnan family’s surprise, the loss of Patricia wasn’t the first time Frazin had cost a patient their life.

Doctor With a Troubled Past

The Degnan family wasn’t aware when Patricia was admitted for surgery that Frazin had been accused of operating on the wrong parts of patient’s spines several times throughout his professional career.

According to reports, the Degnan’s were never informed that Frazin was not permitted to operate in certain hospitals in the Milwaukee area.

In a Journal Sentinel investigation, researchers found that the state’s Medical Examining Board has known about Frazin’s problems since at least 1989, but failed to do anything about them.
