The Public Citizen consumer group wrote a letter to the New Jersey attorney general
The Public Citizen consumer group wrote a letter to the New Jersey attorney general regarding the recent increase in the price of medical malpractice insurance that became a prevalent topic for doctors since the start of 2003. The letter was written because the doctors in New Jersey, with the support of the Medical Society of New Jersey have agreed to avoid any medical procedures that are not considered a medical emergency. The New Jersey doctors are violating the federal antitrust laws and section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act according to the consumer group, which provided evidence so that an investigation will be performed.
