The Public Citizen consumer group has recently responded to new reports showing medical malpractice filings have dropped over the last decade by announcing to Congress and state legislatures to “abandon efforts to take away patients’ legal rights.” While some states have already passed medical malpractice caps because of the false information pushed for the medical groups’ own agendas, the consumer advocacy group would like to make sure medical malpractice caps are not passed in any other states.
