North Carolina medical malpractice debate remains split

The North Carolina Medical Society is the main organizations responsible for pushing for a North Carolina medical malpractice cap because they argue high malpractice claims are the reason for current problems. Opposing this position is the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, saying insurance companies are charging higher premiums because of the current market conditions.
