Doctors pressure lawmakers for Pennsylvania medical malpractice caps
Several thousand doctors gathered on the steps of the Pennsylvania state Capitol to blame Pennsylvania medical malpractice lawsuits on the increasing insurance premiums. The debate between doctors and lawyers has become a nationwide debate. Both parties claim to have the best interests of medical malpractice victims and other patients in mind. The doctors carried signs that brutally attacked Governor Ed Rendell because of Rendell’s skeptical opinions over what relief Pennsylvania medical malpractice caps can provide. The governor’s spokeswoman called the signs “shameful”.
